Small teams of 6 or 7 would operate aboard each yacht. Participant teams would then mix and match roles on board throughout the day depending on the needs of the task at hand. The morning would be spent acquiring and practising basic skills in navigation, sail trimming, helming and boat control and tactics before a treasure hunt cruise or racing regatta in the afternoon.

The programme objectives would be met through facilitated team working, involving feedback on performance as required. There would be maximum opportunity for members the team to observe and understand the personality, working and learning styles of other team members.
