Your group would be divided into teams. Each team has to take on Pharaoh’s Challenge, taking part in various different team exercises, each requiring differing degrees of planning, communication and teamwork. Successful completion of the activities and exercises earns the teams’ hieroglyphic panels of which there are 16 to obtain. The panels spell out a message to find Pharaoh’s gold and the first team to decipher the hieroglyphics and therefore the message are the winners but, if preferred, teams can be graded according to their performance to add to an ongoing team score.

The teams place their marker (a Scarab beetle) on one of the hieroglyphics on the central pyramid. This hieroglyphic will lead them, with their Guide, to a particular exercise or activity. The actual exercises associated with the Pharaoh’s Challenge will all have an Egyptian connection, for example The Pyramid, Rising Nile, Tomb Raider, Chariot Race and Slave Gang. |
