Community Response

Location: Indoors/outdoors - Duration: Half day to 3 days - Participation: For groups of between 10 and 100 people.

Through Community Response we offer opportunities to capitalise on the link between an organisation's Corporate Social Responsibility and team building events.

Community Response - How it works

Community Response helps businesses to extend and develop their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Profile within their communities. Businesses also get powerful and enjoyable opportunities for staff to make a difference through their volunteering efforts.

We link companies with charities and community organisations in their local areas and set up tasks and projects which teams and groups of volunteers from the company can undertake as part of a team building event. It aims to bridge the gaps that exist between:

Community Response - How it works
  • Training Events and Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Charities and big businesses

  • Organisations and their communities

Examples of possible projects:

  • Practical conservation work at Nature Reserves and wildlife sites - such as pond restoration, woodland management, footpath work and disabled access
  • Improving recreation facilities for disadvantaged young people
  • Working within schools developing Team work, Leadership and Communication skills for young people from 11 - 18 years of age
  • Working within primary schools helping with literacy and numeracy programmes
  • Restoring buildings and grounds at Heritage sites
  • Decorating a refuge or house for the homeless
  • Creating a sensory garden in a school or hospice
  • Building a bird hide or boardwalk in waterways and wetlands areas
  • Laying coastal paths and wildlife trails along stretches of heritage coastline
